Yesterday was my third time attending the online conference, Picture Book Summit. For me, the highlight was hearing David Shannon talk about fear of failure, and how he makes lists of things that need revising as he reads through his manuscripts. David advised writers and illustrators to take on projects that are fun and satisfying.

I also enjoyed listening to Alvina Link at Little, Brown Books discuss what goes on behind the scenes at an acquisition’s meeting.
